Natural Escapes Use: All three Natural Escapes conditioners

Overview
Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble antioxidant used in many cosmetic products. Its skin research is much stronger than its direct hair-conditioning research, so in our conditioners we position it conservatively as a supporting antioxidant ingredient rather than a hair-growth active.
What the Science Says
- The Cosmetic Ingredient Review has reaffirmed the safety of ascorbic acid and related ascorbates as used in cosmetics.
- Topical vitamin C has strong dermatologic research related to antioxidant activity in skin, but direct clinical evidence for hair-growth benefits from rinse-off conditioner is limited.
Key Compounds / Chemistry
- Ascorbic Acid: Water-soluble antioxidant form of Vitamin C.
- Redox Activity: Can donate electrons and participate in antioxidant chemistry.
Benefits
- Provides antioxidant support within the formula.
- Complements other vitamins and conditioning ingredients.
- Used as a supporting hair-care nutrient rather than a stand-alone treatment active.
Why Natural Escapes Body Uses It
We use Vitamin C as part of the vitamin blend in our conditioners alongside Vitamins B3, B5, B6 and E. Its role is supportive rather than the primary conditioning mechanism.

FAQs
Does Vitamin C make hair grow?
There is not strong clinical evidence that Vitamin C in a rinse-off conditioner directly stimulates hair growth. We use it as part of a broader vitamin and conditioning system.
Why include Vitamin C in conditioner?
It contributes antioxidant support and complements the other vitamins and conditioning ingredients in the formula.
